EXPERT INSTRUCTOR

The Management of Patients with Multiple Moles course provides an in-depth understanding of managing patients at an increased risk of melanoma. With an emphasis on dermoscopy and digital monitoring, this course offers practical tools for clinicians to improve early melanoma detection and reduce unnecessary excisions.

This comprehensive course focuses on the challenges and strategies in managing patients with multiple nevi, including atypical and dysplastic moles. Key topics include:
- Risk Assessment: Learn to evaluate melanoma risk in patients with numerous moles, understanding the genetic and environmental factors contributing to increased susceptibility.
- Dermoscopy Techniques: Explore the use of dermoscopy to identify suspicious features in moles, such as asymmetry, atypical structures, and evolving patterns.
- Roles of Nevi in Melanoma: Understand the three roles of nevi—indicators, precursors, and simulators—and their relationship to melanoma.
- Total Body Photography: Discover the benefits of patient-oriented monitoring using total body photography for tracking new and changing lesions in patients with high mole density.
- Digital Monitoring: Differentiate between short-term and long-term digital monitoring strategies to improve diagnostic specificity while minimising unnecessary procedures.
- Case Studies: Analyse real-life cases demonstrating the evolution of melanomas from moles and the importance of monitoring for early detection.
- Decision-Making Frameworks: Learn to employ comparative approaches and monitoring tools to prioritise lesions for excision or follow-up, ensuring optimal patient care.

This course equips medical professionals with the knowledge and tools to manage patients with multiple moles effectively. By leveraging advanced dermoscopic techniques and monitoring technologies, participants will enhance their diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
