The "Advanced Botulinum Toxin and Hyperhidrosis" course provides medical professionals with in-depth knowledge and practical expertise in advanced botulinum toxin applications. Led by an experienced presenter, the course is structured into four detailed units:

Unit 1: Upper Face Treatments
This unit revisits foundational anatomy and explores advanced botulinum toxin applications for the upper face. Participants will learn techniques for treating the glabella, frontalis, crow’s feet, and brow lift areas. The session includes insights on safe injection practices, dosing variations, and managing patient-specific anatomical differences.

Unit 2: Lower Face Treatments
Focusing on the lower face, this unit covers techniques to treat nasalis (bunny lines), gummy smiles, lip lines, depressor anguli oris, and mentalis muscles. It emphasises a tailored approach to achieve natural and balanced results while avoiding complications such as asymmetry or unintended effects on facial expressions.

Unit 3: Platysma (Neck) and Nefertiti Lift
This unit addresses the intricate anatomy of the platysma and the techniques required for neck rejuvenation and jawline contouring through the Nefertiti lift. Key topics include managing platysmal bands, improving neck aesthetics, and enhancing the overall profile with precise toxin placement.

Unit 4: Hyperhidrosis Management
Dedicated to treating excessive sweating, this unit details botulinum toxin applications for areas such as underarms, palms, soles, and facial regions. Participants will learn techniques like the starch iodine test for accurate treatment mapping and strategies for managing diverse hyperhidrosis cases, ensuring optimal patient comfort and effectiveness.

The course also includes interactive case studies, assessments, and expert feedback to solidify understanding and enhance clinical application. With its focus on safety and evidence-based practices, this course prepares practitioners to confidently perform advanced botulinum toxin treatments in a variety of clinical scenarios.

  1. Determine the correct use of Botulinum toxin and analyse potential side effects and complications.
  2. Categorise uses of Botulinum toxin for the lower face, including masseter, Nefertiti lift, bunny lines, gummy smile and hyperhidrosis.
