Case Management: FemTech Consultations

Case Management: FemTech Consultations equips General Practitioners with practical skills to manage consultations where patients present data from women’s health apps and digital health tools. Through eight evidence-based case studies, participants explore how FemTech supports women across the lifespan—from mental health monitoring and pregnancy tracking to PCOS metabolic health, hypertension, perimenopause and menopause symptom management, wellness assessment, and sleep disturbance. The course develops clinical confidence in interpreting app-generated insights, integrating patient-recorded data into clinical reasoning, and advising patients on safe, responsible use. Medico-legal and privacy considerations are also addressed.

FemTech (female technology) is rapidly transforming how women monitor symptoms, track cycles, manage pregnancy, and record wellbeing data. Increasingly, patients bring app summaries, symptom charts, wearable data and health reports into primary care consultations. This course provides General Practitioners with an evidence-based framework for responding to FemTech data confidently, while recognising the benefits, limitations, and risks of digital health information.

Through eight interactive case studies, participants explore the use of FemTech in consultations across women’s health and wellbeing, including:
1. Mental Health Monitoring in Female Patients Using FemTech
2. Digital Pregnancy Monitoring and Symptom Correlation Using FemTech
3. Digital Health in Menopause Symptom Monitoring and Sleep Disturbance
4. FemTech App Use and Hypertension Symptom Management
5. Digital Health in Female Wellness Monitoring
6. Digital Health in Menopause Symptom Management
7. Nutrition, Weight, and Metabolic Health Monitoring Using FemTech
8. Cycle Disruption and Symptom Monitoring in Perimenopause Using FemTech

Learners will develop practical skills to critically appraise FemTech information, integrate relevant data into clinical reasoning, and guide patients toward responsible and secure use of digital health tools in primary care.

"Excellent! This is a great course that has helped me diagnose many more subtle, early skin cancers especially melanoma in situ. The course was clearly presented, with good pictures and course book. All HealthCert's skin cancer courses have been hugely valuable to my practice!"

"An excellent course introduction to dermoscopy and relating what you see to the histopathology and applying this in clinical practice. Great lectures and supporting materials."

- S. Jan Nurse

"I really enjoyed the level of learning. It is very rewarding to know that I am potentially saving lives. Recently I volunteered with the Lions Cancer Institute for two days, and we screened 158 patients, detected 38 possible melanomas and 83 keratinocyte skin cancers. It was a very successful and rewarding two days, and something I could do confidently because of my learning from this course."

"I highly recommend this course. I increased my knowledge and developed confidence in using dermoscopy and in diagnosing melanoma and other skin lesions. Every skin lesion I see means so much more now that it has a name. Great involvement from various skin cancer experts and great videos and reference materials."
