Case Management: ADHD in General Practice (Queensland) equips General Practitioners with the practical skills to assess, diagnose and manage ADHD across the lifespan under Queensland's expanded scope of practice for GPs. Through eight evidence-based case studies, participants explore ADHD presentations in children, adolescents, adults and older patients — including complex cases involving autism, trauma, substance use, comorbid mental illness and cardiovascular risk. The course builds clinical confidence in differential diagnosis, initiating and monitoring psychostimulant medication, and recognising when specialist referral remains appropriate. Cultural safety, shared decision-making and safe prescribing under the Medicines and Poisons Act are also addressed.
