Case Management: Regional and Rural General Practice equips General Practitioners with the practical skills to assess, stabilise and manage acute and complex presentations in settings with limited or delayed access to hospital and specialist care. Through eight evidence-based case studies, participants explore emergencies and complex care across the lifespan — including acute abdominal sepsis, chest pain, mental health crises, skin cancer, ectopic pregnancy, palliative care, severe infection and paediatric respiratory illness. The course builds clinical confidence in point-of-care testing and ultrasound, telehealth-supported specialist consultation, retrieval decision-making, and safety-netting in resource-limited environments.
